Youth Services Clinician The Youth Services Clinician will support the comprehensive assessment of young people attending CAAPS Youth Services Intensive Assessment Program (IAP). Provide trauma sensitive care and support to young people who have suffered the impact of substance use. Responsibilities Collate information that will assist in the assessment of IAP young people. Conduct assessment of IAP young people and provide referral where specialist assessment or support is required. Develop compressive assessment reports and treatment plans. Provide advice and support to the IAP and STP team around best practice principles in relation to CAAPS work with young people. Focus on relationship building within a culturally safe and trauma informed approach. Understand and adhere to legislative requirements of providing services to youth including the care and protection of young people. Maintain an awareness of the young person’s needs and wellbeing, including participating in internal handover procedures. Participate in CAAPS afterhours on-call rotation. Support the facilitation of psychoeducational groups as required. Facilitate individual counselling sessions with young people as required. Data entry and reporting in line with National reporting requirements, including up-to-date entry of case notes and revised case plans. Qualifications Understanding of best practice principles and the evidence base related to the assessment of youth. Sound knowledge of the issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Extensive understanding of current issues impacting the delivery of AOD services to young people affected by substance use. Sound knowledge of trauma informed approaches to service delivery. Extensive knowledge of current local and national issues related to health promotion and management. Degree level qualification (or higher) in psychology, Social Work or similar field. Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or recognised qualifications in a related field. Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain. Current NT Driver’s License (minimum C Class). Current Criminal History Check. Current Ochre Card (Category E). Current NAPCAN Mandatory Reporting Certificate, or willingness to obtain. Ability to produce a negative drug screen result on commencement, and maintain a drug-free lifestyle. AOD Case Workers – Healthy Families & Youth Services We are seeking someone to provide case support to participants of CAAPS AOD treatment programs aimed at empowerment, enhanced engagement and motivation towards recovery of participants and their families. Responsibilities Provide case management support to clients through the utilisation of principles that underpin case management. Establish strong therapeutic relationships with clients, and ensure clients engage in all CAAPS activities associated with CAAPS treatment (programs, activities, group work, cultural activities, and engagement with external services). Coordinate and support clients to achieve assessed treatment goals, toward addressing life challenges and enhancing wellbeing. Provide high quality support to focus on recovery using a relational, trauma informed approach aimed at long-term sustainable outcomes, including follow up and aftercare. Maintain an awareness of client’s needs and wellbeing, including participation in internal handover procedures, assisting with medication and provision of transport. Data entry and reporting in line with reporting requirements and as requested by Management, including formal written reports and up-to date entry of case notes and referrals. Provide culturally appropriate services as relevant to the position. Display a strength based, client centred attitude with consideration to CAAPS values. Participate in all relevant planned training programs and seek to improve performance by gaining new skills and knowledge. Participate in quality assurance processes with a focus on continuous improvement, data collection, reviewing and monitoring. Support the establishment of networks and relationships with remote and urban-based communities and organisations. Qualifications Minimum Diploma of Alcohol & Other Drug/Community Services/Youth work. Experience in effectively delivering community services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. Demonstrated ability to modify communication styles and techniques to meet clients needs. Demonstrated ability to work positively both as part of a multidisciplinary team and with individuals. Demonstrated written communication, competent administrative and documentation skills. Demonstrated computer skills including MS Suite, email, data collection/input. Dedicated and careful; high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Sound knowledge of the issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Demonstrated understanding of current issues impacting the delivery of AOD treatment for individuals and families affected by substance misuse. A sound knowledge of current local and national strategies related to the AOD field. Ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Current First Aid Certificate. Current NT Driver’s License (minimum C Class). Current Criminal History Check. Current Ochre Card (Category E). Mandatory Reporting Certificate. Family Support Services (FSS) Worker You will offer intensive support primarily referred from the Department of Territory Families Housing and Communities (DTFHC) and, utilising a strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally affirming approach, provide practical in-home support and child-centered, family-led casework to establish nurturing environments, enhance capacity, and maintain the safety and unity of families. Responsibilities Offer impactful in-home support, engage in collaborative casework, establish referral pathways, and organise group activities. Cultivate cooperative relationships with stakeholders, expand service provider networks, and strengthen community connections. Ensure the upkeep of administration, client records, and fulfill reporting obligations. Implement empowering practices and contribute to the enhancement of service quality. Engage in regular clinical supervision to support emotional wellbeing and maintain trauma-informed, client-centred care. Qualifications Academic qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, or a relevant field. Practical experience in working with high-risk/vulnerable families in family support/case work. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with connections to Aboriginal family networks, organisations, and communities. Capability and willingness to conduct home visits, offer in-home support, and provide practical assistance. Devotion to working with families to implement child safety/family well-being plans, fostering parenting skills, stabilising homes, mitigating child protection and domestic/family violence risks, and preserving family unity. Casual Support Workers – Healthy Families and Youth Services The successful candidates will provide trauma sensitive care and support to young people, adults and their families who have suffered the impact of substance use and who are engaging in CAAPS Programs. Responsibilities Provide support and care to participants in CAAPS programs. Assist with cultural activities and group work. Maintain accurate case notes and reports. Adhere to CAAPS policies and legislation. Qualifications Current First Aid Certificate. Current NT Driver’s License (minimum C Class). Current Criminal History Check. Current Ochre Card (Category E).
