This role is responsible for delivering Engineering and Application services for upgrade or maintenance activities related to our customers’ electrical systems. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the services we provide are relevant, fit for purpose, compliant with regulations, and meet the needs of our customers. The role will provide electrical engineering design and technical support to the engineering team, assist the Engineering Co‑ordinator in efficient resource use, and supply valuable information and support when requested for quoting or tendering on upcoming opportunities. Responsibilities Deliver engineering and application services for electrical system upgrades and maintenance. Design and update electrical schematic and wiring diagrams. Support the Engineering Co‑ordinator with resource planning and allocation. Provide technical information during quoting and tendering processes. Identify and resolve electrical faults, including high‑voltage system diagnostics. Ensure safety standards are met and promote a culture of safe work practices. Attend to high‑voltage electrical system diagnosis and design, with knowledge of power transformers up to 330kV. Use SKM Powertools for Windows and other relevant engineering software. Qualifications Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma (Essential) Electrical Supervisor/Contractors License (Desirable) High level proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel) Proficiency in reviewing and updating electrical schematic and wiring diagrams Technical skills in testing and maintenance of HV electrical and engineering systems Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, with safety as a core value Experience in fault finding and problem resolution Ability to multi‑task in stressful situations Engineering expertise in high‑voltage electrical system diagnosis and design Knowledge of the workings of power transformers up to 330kV Competence in SKM Powertools for Windows software Additional Information Ampcontrol is challenging the future by solving the most complex problems in energy.
