Your Role As a Senior Electrical & Instrument Engineer - Electrical, you will: Design high-voltage and low-voltage distribution substations, incorporating protection systems and earthing solutions. Perform detailed electrical studies, including short circuit analysis, load flow, protection grading, power factor correction, harmonic analysis, transformer sizing, and arc flash assessments. Develop site electrical distribution systems, covering switchroom layouts, switchboard designs, cable routing, motor starters, UPS systems, generators, and transformers. Deliver compliant electrical designs for hazardous areas, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Participate in equipment specification, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities. Apply senior-level expertise in electrical consulting and design, contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Australian Standards such as AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, and other relevant design codes and statutory regulations. Exposure to Instrumentation Engineering design, including instrument selection, control systems & architecture, hazardous area equipment design & classification. What We’re Looking For Degree in Electrical Engineering (Engineers Australia accredited) or related field. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards it. Strong experience in Electrical engineering, including complex project execution and innovative problem-solving. Skilled in detailed design and capable of reviewing and approving work. Proficient in Electrical software, with mentoring ability. Required: ETAP/SKM PTW, PowerCAD Preferred: CDEGS, PowerPac Solid knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements. Effective at managing multidisciplinary design interfaces.
