Every person working for Brimbank City Council shares our aspiration to make our City the best it can be We are currently seeking a Full Time Temporary staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine. Reporting to the ICT Senior Solution Architect, we are seeking an IDAM Specialist who can bring their skills and experience for: Assess, review, and document the current Active Directory (AD) environment, including domains, organisational units (OUs), group policies, trusts, and replication. Configure and manage Conditional Access, MFA and Single Sign‑On (SSO) to strengthen security and improve user experience. Implement and maintain access control models based on least privilege and role‑based access control (RBAC). Integrate identity security with Microsoft Defender for Identity, Entra ID Protection, and other monitoring tools. To be considered you will have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience managing and supporting Active Directory and Azure‑based identity environments. Proven experience in cleaning, rebuilding, or redesigning Active Directory structures, GPOs, and organisational units. In‑depth knowledge of identity security, authentication protocols, MFA, and RBAC. Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell required). Demonstrated ability to lead identity improvement projects and deliver secure, reliable outcomes.
