Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Part Time Salary: Executive Salary (Pro Rata) Plus Superannuation Location: Work Remotely - NSW location preferred Fully remote working opportunity with some travel across NSW. Lead an Environmental NFP with purpose through its next phase of growth. Landcare NSW is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to drive organisational sustainability and growth during a pivotal period for the organisation. About Landcare NSW Landcare NSW is a charity and not-for-profit, focused on generating improved environmental outcomes by advocating for the community Landcare movement in NSW. Our mission is to advocate for the environment and enable our members to nurture productive, resilient landscapes and communities. The Opportunity This is a part-time executive role focused on strategic leadership, business development and securing the organisation's long-term financial sustainability. Day-to-day operations will continue to be managed by the Acting General Manager, allowing the CEO to concentrate on forward-looking priorities. Central to this role is fostering innovative resourcing strategies to enable a resilient and adaptive organisation that allows Landcarers to continue their vital work in the longer term. Key responsibilities include: Leading strategic business case development to position Landcare NSW for future funding and partnership opportunities Driving philanthropic initiatives and cultivating donor and sponsor relationships Overseeing strategic communications to elevate the organisation's profile and influence Managing contractors engaged to deliver key projects and initiatives funded through self-sustenance resources Reporting to the Chair and Board and working closely with the General Manager to align operational and strategic priorities Working closely with the Landcare Enabling Program Manager to:improve organisational sustainability through innovation in partnerships and resourcing strategies ensure partners are better informed about Landcare activities and impact maintain, grow and strengthen collaborative relationships with partners and the broader community build community and partner understanding of Landcare activities, impact and ethos About you and what you bring: You are a strategic thinker with a track record in business development, fundraising or income diversification, ideally within the not-for-profit, environmental or membership-based sector. You are comfortable operating autonomously in a lean environment and can balance high-level strategy with practical delivery. Selection Criteria: Experience in advocacy and public representation, including liaising with government agencies and funding bodies Senior leadership experience, with demonstrated success in securing funding, partnerships or philanthropic support Strong strategic communication skills and the ability to represent the organisation to diverse stakeholders Experience managing contractors or consultants to achieve strategic organisational objectives Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, environmental science, community development, or a related field An understanding of, or genuine interest in, natural resource management, Landcare or community-based environmental action The ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity, prioritising high-impact activities Have integrity, adaptability and a motivating leadership style Previous experience in tender and grant response writing would be desirable Why join Landcare NSW?
