We are seeking a dynamic Platform Owner – Cloud to lead the strategy, delivery and optimisation of our AWS environments. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operational and transformational aspects of our cloud platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable and aligned with business objectives. You will manage vendor relationships, drive innovation through DevSecOps, SRE, and AI practices and champion best‑in‑class cloud solutions across the organisation. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by influencing strategy, enabling innovation, and building a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across technology, risk, and finance, while empowering teams to develop their cloud capabilities. What you'll bring to the role To succeed, you will bring proven leadership experience in cloud and platform engineering within large enterprise environments, deep expertise in AWS (including AWS Certified Solutions Architect credentials), and strong commercial, risk and financial acumen. You will have hands‑on experience with cloud architecture design, automation frameworks and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. A solid understanding of ITIL principles, Enterprise Agile practices, cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks is essential. Familiarity with traditional and modern Cloud architectures and services, Cloud transformation, CI/CD Pipelines, AIOps and FinOps will set you apart. Exposure to Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments is desirable. You’ll thrive here if… If you can adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease, you'll do well here.
