Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Controller / Senior Materials Controller to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This role will suit residents in the Karratha area and will be based in the King Bay Supply Base on the Burrup Peninsula. Whilst Offshore travel may be required from time‑to‑time, predominately you’ll be working from a key client’s onshore facility on a 6‑month contract with a possibility of extension. Qualifications You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location. Ideally, you will hold a post‑secondary qualification from a recognised institution and have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in materials / logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have: Qualifications for dangerous Goods by Sea & Air Manual handling / Forklift licence and experience MSIC and TBosiet Certifications Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles Previous experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP) The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordinglyBe commercially astute with a “solutions mindset”, sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements. Be customer‑focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
