Industries: Hospitals and Health Care. Discover a career where care goes both ways This is an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our Home Care team. This role involves implementing allied health programmes designed by our team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. You will support clients to achieve their goals for health and wellbeing and to remain independent. This will involve facilitation and delivery of in‑home sessions as well as group programmes. Location and Compensation Location – Lower North Shore area – Sydney Salary from $36.60 to $45.75 per hour Permanent, Part‑Time or casual roles Not‑for‑profit employer, so pay less tax Day to Day Providing service delivery as per client’s care plan within the relevant Model of Care including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and other disciplines Facilitating and supporting in‑home and/or group activities & programmes (e.g. health and wellness exercise programme) Managing time effectively to ensure all services are delivered as outlined Supporting client goals through intervention outlined in Care Plan Developing & maintaining client motivation to live their best life Following the client’s lead to identify opportunities to further enhance quality of life and choices Capturing feedback from clients and reporting on progress towards client‑set goals To Be Successful Certificate 3 or 4 Allied Health Assistance or 2 years of study in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy Experience as an Allied Health Assistant desirable (but not essential) Previous experience working in aged or community services sector Ability to problem‑solve & offer solutions A passion for improving client’s health, wellbeing and independence and an interest in exercise and health programmes Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Current NSW Driver’s licence and a registered & insured motor vehicle What We Can Offer Competitive annual salary Not‑for‑profit tax benefits so you pay less tax Fitness Passport discounted gym benefits Paid parental leave Long Service leave after 5 years A values‑based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds We know you have many choices of employer – choose Catholic Healthcare where you can make a positive impact and be well rewarded.
