The Manning Mental Health Unit sits close to the picturesque Manning River, offering opportunities for an active lifestyle including kayaking, fishing, and riverside walks. Just a short 20-minute drive away, you’ll find the beautiful coastal beaches of Old Bar and Harrington, perfect for weekend escapes. The Manning mental health unit is a 20-bed acute inpatient unit situated within Manning Base Hospital. This position is permanent, full-time, Monday-Friday during standard business hours. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative team that values respect, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality mental health care in a positive, patient focused environment. About the role This position will encompass the Manning Mental Health Inpatient Unit and Consultation Liaison providing high quality, evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment. You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care to diverse communities with a focus on improving outcomes for the patient and their families/carers. Deliver specialist clinical care to patients Provide specialist consultation to the treating team Champion evidence‑based, person‑centred care within the service The applicant will be supported with clinical and peer supervision, as well as e-learning and face‑to‑face training opportunities. Requirements Current registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
