Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $25 - $40 per hour As part of our Front‑of‑House team at Loya Bar, you will create a warm, energetic, and memorable dining experience in a stylish Tapas and Cocktail Bar. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving tapas and premium cocktails, and ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional service in a lively yet elegant atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanour. Manage seating, guest flow, and reservations. Present menus, explain tapas selections, and make recommendations based on guest preferences. Serve cocktails and tapas with accuracy, speed, and elegance. Upsell featured cocktails, seasonal tapas, and premium spirits. Coordinate closely with bartenders, mixologists, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Maintain cleanliness of tables, glassware, and dining areas. Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with grace and professionalism. Process bills and payments accurately. Follow food safety, alcohol service regulations, and bar standards. Qualifications Experience in a tapas bar, cocktail bar, or high‑end dining environment is an advantage. Strong communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and food pairing is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, vibrant bar environment. Well‑groomed, presentable, and confident. Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Proficient in English; additional language skills are a plus. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or equivalent preferred. Soft Skills Warm, engaging, and guest‑oriented personality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tables at once. Professional, adaptable, and calm under pressure. Initiative and willingness to go above and beyond to enhance guest experiences.
