Prime opportunity to join Student Wellbeing in the AccessAbility Team Full‑time, ongoing position at our Hawthorn campus $94,050 salary + 17% superannuation and staff benefits About the Role Join Swinburne University’s AccessAbility Services and help create an inclusive, supportive environment for students with diverse needs. As an AccessAbility Adviser, you will coordinate, deliver, and oversee tailored support services for students with a disability, medical or mental health condition or for those that have carer responsibilities, across Higher Education, Vocational Education, Swinburne Online, and Open Universities Australia. Your role will involve negotiating and monitoring reasonable adjustments, collaborating with academic and administrative staff, and ensuring the smooth delivery of services. You will manage resources, maintain the client database, and contribute to processes on best practice. You’ll also advocate for the university’s AccessAbility Action Plan and provide guidance on relevant legislation to promote a culture of inclusion. Join us in supporting a more inclusive future at Swinburne About You Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation pertaining to the rights of people living with disability and the responsibilities of educational institutions. Demonstrated skill in computerised data management, accurate data entry and record keeping. Proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, to negotiate reasonable adjustments and related supports including assistive technology and to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and advanced communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to represent AccessAbility Services at events such as orientation and academic staff meetings. Qualifications A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience and / or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training in the health/allied health area.
