Key Responsibilities Day-to-day, you\'ll be involved in the following (plus some other activities): Be a fun, friendly, and passionate brand ambassador for Black Star Pastry — connecting with customers and delivering standout service as we welcome both first-timers and long-time loyal fans to the BSP Westfield Burwood experience. Have thorough knowledge of all product offerings — from our world-famous cakes to savoury items and drinks — including ingredients, allergens, and pricing, so you can confidently guide customers through their choices. Confidently make recommendations, anticipate customer preferences, and create a personalised, memorable experience with every interaction. Serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee, teas, and house-made drinks — ensuring each one is crafted with precision, consistency, and care. Maintain high standards of drink presentation and quality, ensuring every cup meets BSP’s expectations for flavour, temperature, and appearance. Assist with pre-service setup, including carefully packing cakes and preparing displays — with a strong attention to detail and presentation. Ensure a consistently high standard of food and drink quality, aligned with the BSP commitment to excellence. Keep the store clean, organised, and welcoming throughout the day, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards at all times. Stay up to date with relevant Food Safety certifications, and always follow best practices in both front-of-house and café operations.
