Woodbury is a centre of excellence dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based education and clinical support for autistic children. Guided by the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Woodbury provides a safe, nurturing, and innovative learning environment where our students can strive to achieve their full potential. Purpose of the Role The Clinical Director is the senior leader responsible for advancing Woodbury’s mission to provide world‑class, evidence‑based education and clinical support for autistic children. The role combines executive leadership with clinical expertise in ABA to provide a safe environment where every student receives the highest quality of care and special education. The role drives growth, innovation and nurtures a culture of professionalism and collaboration. The Clinical Director serves as the ambassador of Woodbury’s vision, embodying it each day, inspiring team members and the Woodbury community, and guiding the organisation toward excellence. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Educational Excellence Ensure the consistent, high‑quality delivery of ABA‑based education and intervention programs. Supervise all aspects of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), Individualised Transition Plans, and behavioural programming. Oversee functional assessments, intervention planning, data collection, and program evaluation. Ensure compliance with NSW Board of Studies requirements, internal standards, and external regulations. Guide student transitions into, within, and beyond Woodbury. Collaboration with the Teaching Team to align IEP goals to curriculum outcomes. Regular collaboration with the Association of Independent School (AISNSW). Team Development & Training Continue to develop and promote the staff and student Muti‑Tier System of Support (MTSS) for proactive wellbeing practices. Lead competency‑based performance assessments for all team members. Oversee the design and delivery of high‑quality training for new and existing team members. Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Model clinical and leadership excellence, setting the standard for professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork. Inspire the team by recognising achievements and building capacity for future leadership. Organisational Growth & Governance Plan strategically for the short‑ and long‑term growth of Woodbury. Report regularly to the Board of Directors on progress, risks, and opportunities. Manage student eligibility assessments for enrolment. Drive innovation in service delivery, research, and community engagement. Student Welfare & Community Engagement Safeguard student wellbeing and create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Oversee risk assessments, incident responses, and behaviour management procedures. Build strong partnerships with caregivers, ensuring open communication and shared commitment to student success. Collaborate with external providers to encourage a holistic support network. Relationships The Clinical Director works closely with the Operations Executive Team to ensure organisational alignment between clinical, educational, financial, and operational priorities. The role reports directly to the Board of Directors. The Clinical Director maintains strong relationships with the team, students, caregivers and external stakeholders—including universities, clinicians, community organisations, and government bodies whilst leading academic and clinical excellence in partnership with the Executive’s team oversight of business, finance, and operational functions. Requisite Skills & Qualifications Masters‑level degree in a relevant field. Over 8 years’ experience developing, implementing, and supervising ABA programs for autistic children. Experience leading and supervising teams. Proven expertise in ABA, behaviour management, and curriculum planning. Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to inspire teams and lead at an organisational level. Exceptional communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
