Overview Substation Electrical Trades Assistants / Riggers role at UGL. UGL is an employer with a difference. The project involves delivering the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project in NSW, with two 500kV substations to be built at Gugaa and Maragle. Local employees are encouraged to apply. FIFO/DIDO on a 19/9 roster is available; flights, accommodation and meals provided. The HumeLink project connects Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW and is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, including about 365km of proposed new transmission lines and related works. The West scope of works includes delivery of the 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, plus a new substation at Maragle for future connection.
