Pharmacy Business Development Pharmacist We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist for a part‑time, fixed‑term role (64 hours per fortnight) until 15 November 2026 within the Pharmacy Business Unit of the Pharmacy Department. What You’ll Achieve Assist and co‑lead new projects that will deliver net income, reduce costs, improve efficiencies and safety, or enhance the profile of the department. Assess the workload impact of new initiatives on the PBU and the external Pharmacy department and develop staffing contingencies to meet workload needs. Act as Chief Editor for the Paediatric Injectable Guidelines online and in print, coordinating other editors to maintain the publication. Participate in the weekend, public holiday and on‑call roster for the Pharmacy Department. Responsibilities Maintain the editorial content of the RCH Paediatric Injectable Guideline (PIG). Contribute to daily operations of the Pharmacy Business Unit, including scoping, developing and implementing new products, projects and publications. Qualifications Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent. Registered pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and listed on the Pharmacy Board of Australia register. Experience with literature retrieval and analysis is desirable. Experience with pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks is desirable. Other Requirements Current National Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain one. Valid Working with Children Check. Compliance with the RCH “Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine‑Preventable Diseases” procedure. Classification This position will range from SX6 to SX81. About The Pharmacy Business Unit The Pharmacy Business Unit (PBU) develops and manages pharmacy‑related products for both RCH and other healthcare settings, including the Paediatric Injectable Guidelines (PIG), Nappy Goo® barrier cream and hypertonic saline nebulising solution.
