As a Senior Lawyer – Health at Metro North Health, you will provide expert legal advice on medico-legal, health law, and governance matters. You’ll support staff across the service on complex legal issues, litigation, and compliance while contributing to proactive risk management and legal education initiatives.| Workplace Location | Brisbane - North |**About the role** As a Senior Lawyer at Metro North Health, you will provide expert legal advice on medico-legal, health law, and governance matters. You'll support staff across the service on complex legal issues, litigation, and compliance while contributing to proactive risk management and legal education initiatives.**Key Responsibilities*** Provide legal advice on medico-legal and health law issues, including consent, confidentiality, and treatment without capacity.* Manage and support legal proceedings, including personal injury and negligence claims.* Advise on compliance with the Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld) and other relevant legislation.* Liaise with external legal counsel, government bodies, and regulatory agencies.* Deliver legal training and guidance to Metro North Health staff to enhance awareness and compliance.**Health Equity** Metro North Health has set out its actions and agreed key performance measures to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's health and wellbeing outcomes.
