Banyule City Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Lead to join our award‑winning City Development directorate. Responsibilities Lead Property Services Projects and Initiatives: drive projects and initiatives that serve Council’s long‑term interests and ensure property‑related activities contribute to strategic goals of Banyule Council and deliver positive outcomes for the community. Manage Key Property Projects and Transactions: take responsibility for significant leases, major contract reviews, and other high‑value property projects. Position Council favourably in all property transactions by providing expert advice, risk mitigation, and ensuring legal and financial interests are optimised. Guide and Shape the Property Services Function: actively develop and improve property services to achieve industry best practice while maintaining statutory obligations. Qualifications and Experience A degree or diploma in Conveyancing, Valuation, Legal Practice, Property or a related field or extensive industry experience. Demonstrated experience in the administration and management of property. Knowledge of relevant legislation and ability to read, interpret and carry out those requirements relative to property management. Demonstrated skills in managing competing and complex property matters in an effective and strategic manner. Highly developed and adaptable oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. High competency of computer systems and Microsoft Office applications. Pre‑employment Requirements Current Driver’s Licence What We Offer Salary range $109,953.82 – $122,671.33 per annum plus super. A permanent, full‑time position with a monthly RDO. 26 weeks of paid parental leave – primary carer/4 weeks of paid parental leave – partner. Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
