Urgent Friendly Visitor for sweet gentleman in Kew Aged Care Home MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll, have a cuppa, listen to music, dabble in arts, play a board game or other activities that help you connect with the person. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged‑care home or their own home through ongoing friendship. Responsibilities Visit the aged‑care home for approximately one hour per visit. Engage in conversation, music, arts, games, or other shared interests. Provide companionship and social support. Attend at least every fortnight; weekly visits preferred. Qualifications Must be over 18 years of age. Warm, caring, reliable, and committed to a minimum of six months. Able to attend visits at least every fortnight, with flexibility for mutual convenience. Commitment and Training Regular work longer than six months. Fortnightly visits (weekly preferred) any day of the week, approximately one hour per visit. Induction training provided; optional additional training offered each year.
