The Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery is an established leader in biotech, medtech and digital health research, development and commercialisation. Early next year, 9 separate research institutions are taking-up residence in this new, purpose-built facility incorporating 26 laboratories. We are seeking a proficient, inventory replenishment professional to coordinate the in‑house operational logistics, as part of our laboratories support team. Location: Fitzroy/CBD fringe. Reporting within Operations, this role is responsible for ensuring the inventory levels are maintained efficiently to meet the laboratories demand and service level objectives. Major responsibilities involve goods receipt, storage and distribution, demand planning for purchases of equipment, materials and consumables meeting forecast needs and project timelines. We’re looking for someone who brings practical knowledge of lean methodologies including visual management e.g. Kanban cards, bar/QR codes, bin labels and dashboards. In our dynamic research environment, your methodical approach, problem‑solving skills and process‑driven mindset will be keys to your success in this role. Well‑developed communication and collaborative skills are essential. You’ll be instrumental in establishing and refining supply, inventory control, storage and movement protocols, ideally drawing on experience in a highly regulated laboratory (e.g. PC2), research or scientific setting. Proficiency with Excel and Kanban workflow is expected. A qualification at Cert IV, Diploma or Degree level will be highly regarded. Enquiries to Peter Kiploks at PEK Human Systems on 0425 742 ***.
