Full Time Residential Support Officer – Wollongong NSW A & K ENTERPRISES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD – Wollongong NSW Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description A & K Enterprises Australia Pty Ltd in Wollongong NSW is seeking a full time dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Officer with extensive experience in nursing, auditing, and disability/aged care. Salary of $78,000 – 80,000 + super for this full-time position. Reporting to the Business Director, you will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks. Responsibilities Provide direct support with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management while maintaining dignity and promoting independence. Monitor clients’ health status, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and report significant changes to healthcare professionals and families. Communicate and liaise with families, support coordinators, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate integrated care delivery. Refer clients to appropriate community services and welfare agencies and promote awareness of available community resources and support services. Assess clients’ support needs through interviews and evaluation, develop personalised care plans aligned with NDIS requirements, reflecting goals, preferences, and independence. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, support provided, and incidents in accordance with NDIS and organisational policies. Facilitate clients’ participation in community activities and social engagement, and support clients in resolving practical, emotional, and social challenges. Qualifications A relevant bachelor’s degree qualification Experience Requirement At least 1-2 years of professional experience Essential Skills Time management and organisational skills Knowledge of NDIS requirements and processes Skilled in manual handling, mobility assistance, and personal care support. Strong understanding of infection control standards and maintaining high hygiene practices. Supporting clients with behavioural and emotional needs in a calm and respectful manner. Working well within a team environment and maintaining clear, timely communication and reporting. Leading and mentoring team members while ensuring quality care through regular clinical audits.
