IT and Cyber Security Support Officer 18-month fixed term contractBand 5, 0.6 FTE$79,353 - $91,254 per annum, pro rata Join our Digital Solutions Team and help safeguard our future The Geelong Regional Library Corporation is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive IT and Cyber Security Support Officer to help strengthen our digital environment, support our people, and champion a culture of cyber awareness across our organisation. This role is ideal for new graduates looking to build their experience or those with a few years in the field wanting to take the next step in a supportive, community-focused environment. What you will be doing Working through a detailed cyber security workplan developed by a specialist consultant which includes tasks such as Supporting the stability and performance of our Microsoft 365 and Windows environments Assisting with risk management activities, including compliance checks and security audits Helping develop and deliver cyber security training and awareness initiatives for staff Working closely with the Digital Solutions team to maintain secure and reliable systems Monitoring and responding to security incidents, alerts, and emerging vulnerabilities What we’re looking for Qualifications in ICT, Cyber Security, or relevant professional experience are a must Strong understanding of current cyber security practices, tools, and frameworks A practical problem-solving approach and strong attention to detail Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders A proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to keep learning in a fast-moving environment Why join us?
