Senior Construction Lead

The Senior Construction Lead will oversee the delivery of major infrastructure projects, focusing on water, sewerage, and recycled water systems. This role involves close collaboration with the Coordinator Major Projects, contractor representatives, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the City’s objectives. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Coordinator Major Projects, regarding water and sewerage infrastructure impacts. Engage daily with contractors to address programming, safety, and conflict resolution. Assist in the technical assessment of short‑ and long‑term program impacts, providing insights to the Program Manager. Support timely design endorsement and address related concerns. Respond promptly to contractor requests for information related to infrastructure delivery. Conduct regular site inspections and audit contract administrators to protect City outcomes. Organise and supervise shutdowns for water, sewer, and recycled water infrastructure connections and disconnections. Qualifications Strong background in major infrastructure projects, particularly water, sewerage, and recycled water systems. Proven ability to liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, designers, construction teams, and stakeholders. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Proactive, results‑driven, with a commitment to delivering high‑quality infrastructure outcomes. Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent experience. Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or equivalent experience. Class C Unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
