Work within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary breast imaging team Provide patient-centred care in both screening and diagnostic settings Access modern mammography technology and fully digital workflows Contribute to accredited BreastScreen NSW services across multiple sites Be supported by a collaborative culture focused on quality, safety and ongoing development What you’ll be doing As a Radiographer with the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute, you will perform high-quality mammography and breast imaging services while upholding BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards. You will ensure accurate imaging, contribute to quality assurance tasks, and deliver safe, respectful care for every patient. Key responsibilities will be to: Perform expert clinical breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography Maintain high standards of imaging quality and participate in quality assurance testing Ensure accurate patient data entry and image identification across RIS/PACS/BIS systems Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes Contribute to service goals, uphold safety standards, and work flexibly across multiple BCI sites Join Us Help improve early detection and make a meaningful community impact. Essential Criteria Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent Registration: Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA). Licence: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14 Selection Criteria High level customer service skills and Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative Highly developed communication with working in a multidisciplinary team and other health professionals Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues and problem solving, Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy Experience in mammography with knowledge of quality assurance would be desirable. Maintaining high quality imaging, performing over 50% of Perfect and Good imaging, keep below the Repeat Rate (2%) and Technical Recall Rate of all imaging. Ability to assist in training others (give orientation and be able to supervise when required) Working towards completing Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months of starting Requisition ID: REQ Applications Close: 4th December 2025 Need more information?
