Communify is seeking a motivated and skilled Team Leader to guide our Intake & Brief Intervention team within the Sustaining Tenancies service. This is a rewarding leadership role where you will support a dedicated team, strengthen service delivery, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of people experiencing housing instability and complex challenges. About Communify Queensland Communify is a community-based organisation offering a wide range of supports to enhance quality of life for individuals and families across Brisbane. We work with people who are socially, physically, intellectually, or emotionally disadvantaged, and are committed to delivering inclusive, client-centred, trauma-informed services. Our Sustaining Tenancies program—delivered in partnership with Bric Housing, Brisbane Housing Company and the Department of Housing—provides personalised support to help people remain safely housed. About the Role As the Team Leader – Intake & Brief Intervention , you will: Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and practice guidance to team members. Oversee high-quality intake, screening, assessment and brief intervention responses. Support staff to manage complex client presentations and competing priorities. Monitor performance, capability development and adherence to organisational policies. Contribute to continuous improvement, quality practice and evaluation processes. Build strong internal and external partnerships, representing Communify professionally. This role is key to supporting the team to deliver effective, outcome-focused services and strengthening pathways that help individuals sustain their tenancy and avoid homelessness. What You’ll Bring We are looking for someone who has: Tertiary qualifications in social work, human services or related fields. Experience in AOD/mental health and understanding of dual-diagnosis barriers. Strong knowledge of housing, homelessness and community support networks. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including supervision and performance support. High-level communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly, autonomously and collaboratively within a busy service. A solution-focused, adaptive approach to service delivery and change.
