We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team on a full‑time permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our high culinary standards, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Salary Range : $75,000 - $85,000 per annum Role : Full time Location : Penrith NSW 2750 Main Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including starters, mains, pizzas, seafood, and steaks, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation, consistently meeting the restaurant’s standards. Cater to diverse dietary needs such as gluten‑free, vegetarian, or other special requests, ensuring the satisfaction of all guests. Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and update menus, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Assist in monitoring food supplies and ingredients, manage stock levels, order ingredients as needed, and minimize wastage while adhering to budgetary constraints. Assist in managing kitchen expenses, including food costs and labour, to meet financial goals while maintaining the quality of the menu. Lead and train kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, following food safety regulations. Skills & Qualifications Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. At least three (3) years of relevant full‑time experience in a busy restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership, teamwork, and time management skills. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency. Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
