Indie College is seeking a Full Time Trainer and Assessor (Coach) to join us at our (Sorelll) College campus. This role requires delivering training and assessment to the Learner cohort, in line with the relevant training package and the company's training and assessment strategies. Indie College supports Trainers and Assessors with paid professional development, all training materials and compliance requirements, and are committed to on‑going improvements and efficiencies so you can focus on engagement and delivery. Indie has a formal training framework to upskill, support and supervise new Trainers / Assessors or industry professionals wanting a career change. Indie College is a not‑for‑profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers nationally recognised training. In partnership with Indie School, we support young people and adults to re‑engage back into education who may have disengaged or are impacted by a variety of personal or health circumstances. We explore individual goals related to pathways back into school, employment or further accredited training, whilst assisting the development of Language, Literacy and numeracy skills and building confidence. Indie courses are delivered in either one‑on‑one, small or large group settings. Key responsibilities Deliver training / assessment to Learners upon completion of all relevant Qualifications Provide a flexible and engaging approach to delivering educational programs to the Learner cohort Adapt training style and delivery method to accommodate Learner's learning needs Demonstrate resilience and interpersonal skills to engage with a mixed cohort of Learners Maintain professional boundaries in the role Complete all documentation in line with company policy and procedures Manage challenges and barriers faced with delivering alternative education to the Learner cohort Transport Learners to and from sessions as permitted Employ time management and administrative skills, and meet deadlines Exhibit strong written, oral, and digital literacy skills, and attention to detail Work within the requirements set out within the company's training and assessment strategies Work cohesively in a team environment Undertake regular training to ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards and Mandatory reporting Complete annual professional development provided by Indie Maintain a current Driver's license Own a reliable vehicle that is registered and insured Hold an Annual National Police Check issued within 3 months of appointment Hold a current Working with Children Check in the state(s) of operation Benefits and Perks As a registered Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), we offer access to tax‑effective packaging via Maxxia: up to $15,900 per FBT year (plus up to $2,650 for meals & entertainment) to significantly boost your take‑home pay 15 days of paid personal leave, plus comprehensive paid parental leave provisions. Large national organisation with internal mobility opportunities. Hours of Work Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 4:36 pm. Christmas Closure period (Dec / Jan, 10 A / L days) Compensation Base salary : $69,281 per annum. Fuel allowance : $ per fortnight. Total annual package : $75, per annum plus superannuation. Coaches at this level will complete the company study phase requirements over a timeframe of 6 weeks to 12 months. Coaches at this level must hold all required qualifications and have successfully completed all study phase requirements. Base salary : $78,402 per annum. Fuel allowance : $ per fortnight.
