Modern, Supportive Facility: 5-bed Emergency Department including a dedicated resuscitation bay. 24/7 medical coverage in ED with two rotating shifts per day (GP VMO or CMO). 12-bed inpatient ward including Fast Track service. Qualifications and Experience Current General Registration with AHPRA with at least three years post-graduate experience and appropriate training and experience in Emergency Medicine. High level skills and involvement in clinical care, supervision, mentoring and teaching. Able to exercise a moderate degree of professional independence. Ideally working towards or completed a specialist fellowship such as ACCRM or FRACGP or ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate or Diploma. Demonstrated competence in management of undifferentiated Adult and Paediatric emergencies. Demonstrated skills in and commitment to improvements in clinical care, patient safety and risk management processes, including the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to achieve change. High level interpersonal communication and team skills, effective for working within health care organisations and the outside community, including capacity to use electronic communications (e.g. electronic records) effectively. Evidence of participation in continuing professional development. Demonstrated commitment to the broader service objectives of the public health system, including the effective utilisation of resources, and participation in activities beyond direct patient care.
