SAMI is part of Colas, a global leader within the Transport Infrastructure Industry. The Role SAMI is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a full‑time basis. The successful applicant will be a part of a high performing maintenance team responsible for the scheduled & breakdown maintenance of our bitumen production facility in Kwinana. Qualifications & Experience Must be able to obtain a MISC card. Experience in the repair of shear pumps, hot oil systems, vapour extraction systems & wastewater plant management. Experience in MEX or other computerised maintenance systems. Welding experience – pressure piping. Experience in fabrication of small plant items. Forklift Licence – essential. High risk work licence – dogging, coded welder. Elevated Work Platform, confined space. Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience – highly desirable. Duties and Responsibilities Perform general maintenance across the plant on a range of machinery and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with designated schedules. Identify opportunities to improve plant equipment reliability & cost savings. Report near‑miss incidents, complete investigations and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Be a team player and have flexibility to carry out site work when required. Have proven problem‑solving skills. Be reliable and able to work unsupervised. Benefits A competitive hourly rate.
