Overview Department of Education Victoria – Eaglehawk VIC 1d ago , from Department of Education & Training Victoria Eaglehawk Secondary College (ESC) is a Year 7-10 college that prepares students for senior school pathways, further study and the workforce. Students from ESC progress to Bendigo Senior Secondary College for VCE or equivalent, with which ESC has a strong partnership as a member of the Bendigo Education Plan cluster schools. Role The classroom teacher is primarily responsible for planning, preparing and teaching programs to meet specific student outcomes. Teachers progress from Range 1 to Range 2, with increased responsibilities in student performance improvement, policy development, mentorship and data‑driven instructional improvement. Range 2: Lead school performance initiatives, mentor teachers, provide expert advice, supervise student teachers, and use student data to guide instruction. Range 1: Focus on classroom management, subject content, and practice under general direction; support policy development and co‑curricular activities. Responsibilities Direct teaching of groups and individual students. Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation. Qualification Requirements Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Graduates of an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program or course completed on/after 1 January 2024 must meet the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership accreditation standards.
