Client Solutions Consultant – Delivery – Engine by Starling Starling is the UK’s first and leading digital bank on a mission to fix banking with more than 3,000 people in our UK offices and 4 million customers. Engine by Starling is the SaaS business that powers Starling and others worldwide. Engine is headquartered in London with offices in Dublin, Sydney and the UK. This role will be based in Sydney, with a hybrid working model and some travel. About the role This role is an exciting opportunity based in Sydney, where you’ll be part of the core Engine team working directly with our clients to launch new digital banking propositions across the region and help drive transformation within existing banks. You’ll manage day‑to‑day delivery of a functional workstream (e.g. Onboarding, Lending, Migration, or Payments & Cards) in large‑scale programmes. What you’ll get to do Build strong relationships at all levels of the client organisation, through pre‑sales to implementation Understand client vision, challenges and priorities, applying your knowledge of the Engine product Work closely with our product team and solution architects to design a solution which meets the needs of the client and future clients Be responsible for the delivery of an area of the solution, representing the client’s needs and priorities in internal decision‑making and planning Coordinate solution delivery with Engineering in line with programme timelines Support the programme transition from delivery into Run, sharing your knowledge of the client and setting up the Run team for success Contribute to the success of the Delivery function as it scales, sharing your learnings from client implementations and establishing our Engine delivery methodologies Requirements – Background 5+ years of experience in client‑facing roles, consulting or technology companies Experience in financial services and technology delivery Experience delivering complex programmes Rapidly understand client problems and present structured solutions Ownership mindset and ability to seek external support for risks and issues Excitement about the potential of Engine’s technology to transform banking globally Requirements – Skills Inquisitive and detail‑oriented in understanding how something works Apply a structured approach to complex or ambiguous problems Technical aptitude and curiosity Self‑motivated and able to work autonomously Comfortable facilitating workshops and discovery sessions Attention to detail Adapt communication style for different stakeholders Flexible in delivery approach, comfortable with Agile working without strict methodology constraints Interview Process Initial video interview with a Client/Delivery team member – 45 min Further interview with regional director and other team members – 60 min (ideally in Sydney office) Final interview with Delivery Director/VP Client Services – 45 min Benefits 25 days holiday, plus birthday off Option to opt‑out of public holidays Option to buy/sell up to 5 days of annual leave a year 16 h paid volunteering time a year Enhanced Pat & Mat leave Perkbox Length of service increased annual leave About Us You may be put off applying for a role because you don’t tick every box.
