All Rounder - Retail & Warehouse Plastermax Ballarat | Full-Time Permanent Position About Plastermax Plastermax is a trusted building materials supplier with dual warehouse showrooms in Geelong and Ballarat, serving construction professionals and homeowners across Regional Victoria. Our Ballarat location on Ring Road, Wendouree, expands our coverage across Regional Victoria, delivering quality materials from Australia's leading suppliers including CSR, GYPROCK, Bradford, Hebel, and RONDO. The Role We're seeking an experienced All Rounder to join our growing Ballarat team. This varied role combines customer service, point of sale, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination to support both our commercial and residential divisions. You'll be working with plasterboard, insulation, steel framing, and cladding systems while providing expert advice to customers ranging from major contractors to owner-builders. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Assist customers with product selection and technical advice Process orders, invoicing and coordinate delivery schedules Provide quotes and product specifications Build relationships with local builders, contractors, and homeowners Warehouse Operations Receive, store, and dispatch building materials Operate forklift for loading/unloading deliveries and customer pick-ups Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory management Coordinate crane-ups and staged deliveries to construction sites Ensure workplace safety standards and material handling protocols General Operations Support next-day delivery service across Regional Victoria Assist with stock takes and warehouse organization Coordinate with suppliers for daily restocking Maintain showroom presentation and product displays Essential Requirements Current forklift license (LF class minimum) Current MR license (favorable) Proven warehousing and materials handling experience Minimum 6-12 months of warehousing and materials handling experience Strong customer service skills with ability to communicate with diverse clientele Basic understanding of POS systems & computer knowledge Basic understanding of building materials and construction processes Physical fitness for manual handling and warehouse duties Reliable transport and availability for full-time hours Australian work rights required for this position Highly Regarded Experience in building materials, trade supplies, or construction industry Knowledge of plasterboard, insulation, steel framing, or cladding products Previous retail or trade counter experience Understanding of Australian building standards and compliance requirements What We Offer Competitive salary package Opportunity to join an established, growing regional business Work with premium Australian suppliers and quality products Supportive team environment with ongoing product training Career development opportunities within expanding operations Modern warehouse facility with quality equipment Location & Hours Location: 1/259 Ring Road, Wendouree, VIC 3355 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work during busy periods Contact: 7*** #J-18808-Ljbffr
