About the Role As the Head of Engineering & Architecture, you’ll set the direction for engineering practices, technical design and architectural standards across multiple product streams. You’ll balance visionary leadership with pragmatic delivery, guiding a team of senior engineers and architects through modernisation and scalability initiatives. This is a rare opportunity to influence system design end-to-end, uplift engineering maturity, and foster a culture of collaboration and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Define and drive the engineering and architecture roadmap across several value streams. Lead and mentor senior engineers and architects, fostering a high‑performing and empowered culture. Ensure alignment between technical design, business strategy and platform scalability. Promote best‑practice software engineering, DevOps, and cloud‑native architecture. Collaborate closely with product, delivery, and business stakeholders to ensure high‑impact outcomes. Introduce governance and frameworks that balance innovation, performance, and reliability. What You’ll Bring Proven success leading engineering and architecture teams in complex, high‑traffic environments. Strong background across modern application architecture — ideally in Microsoft‑based environments using scalable web and cloud technologies. Deep understanding of software design principles (SOLID, TDD/BDD, microservices, event‑driven systems). Expertise across cloud‑native platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability across business and technology domains. A passion for engineering excellence and developing future technical leaders.
