About The Role John Hunter Engineering provides essential planned and reactive maintenance across all buildings on the John Hunter Hospital campus. We are now seeking a passionate and skilled Fire Safety Officer to support fire safety compliance, deliver staff training, and contribute to the protection of patients, visitors, and staff across this major health precinct. Responsibilities Deliver fire safety training and education programs to hospital staff. Assist with fire safety compliance, including annual fire safety statements. Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Respond to fire alarms and support emergency procedures. Administer passive fire management systems and documentation. Support continuous improvement in fire safety across HNELHD buildings on site. About You Fire Safety Officer training (or be working toward completion). Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or progress toward it. Extensive experience in fire safety within a relevant environment. Strong knowledge of fire regulations, building codes, and compliance standards. A current NSW Driver’s Licence. Benefits Salary packaging options. Fitness Passport.
