The Opportunity The Reliability Manager leads the plant's reliability and planning function to ensure optimised equipment availability, balancing safety, quality and cost. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role manages a team of Maintenance Planners / Schedulers and Reliability Engineers, delivering a proactive, data-driven maintenance programme that supports operations at our Carole Park site. What You'll Do Lead and develop the planning / scheduling team to deliver effective maintenance plans that minimise downtime and cost while maximising resource utilisation. Manage the reliability engineering team to implement equipment reliability improvements, downtime RCAs and predictive maintenance initiatives rooted in Lean Manufacturing principles. Oversee the development of preventative maintenance strategies for critical assets. Monitor and optimise work-management processes including work order health, backlog management, labour utilisation and machine downtime and uptime schedules. Drive data-driven continuous improvement projects to reduce unplanned failures, extend asset life and limit maintenance spend. Collaborate closely with the Production and Finishing departments to align reliability priorities with operational requirements. liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure the site receives high-quality services at competitive rates. Write and justify capital project requests as required. Ensure all maintenance and reliability activities comply with safety, environmental and regulatory standards. Provide technical guidance and support to the Operational, Mechanical and Electrical teams. Continue to develop maintenance SOPs and the training platform. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical) or a related field (preferred). At least 5 years in maintenance or reliability roles within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Proven experience leading maintenance teams or projects. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication across technical and operational teams. In-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reliability tools (RCM, FMEA, RCA). Experience with SAP or other maintenance / work-order / inventory software such as Maximo, MEX, etc. Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
