Cook Location: Little Mountain Aged Care, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Hours: Weekend Shifts Only – 30 Hours per fortnight (6:00am - 2:00pm). Position Type: Casual. About the Role Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a casual Cook at our Little Mountain Aged Care Service. This role will see you preparing meals and undertaking basic cooking duties. About you You’re looking for a fresh challenge and enjoy using your cooking skills to create meals that nourish, comfort, and bring a sense of home to our elderly residents. Requirements Strong understanding of safe food hygiene and kitchen safety practices. Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one. Valid Australian Work Rights – we are not currently able to sponsor. One year’s experience as a commercial cook. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer. Undertake basic record keeping (eg number of meals per day, missed meals, fridge/freezer temps maintained). Confidence in communicating with supervisor and suppliers.
