Business Development Manager – NM Insurance Join NM Insurance as our Business Development Manager and drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and deliver strategic outcomes across our distribution network. NM Insurance is a market leading distributor of insurance products and services in the retail recreational areas of pleasure craft, motorcycle and caravan as well as commercial marine insurance lines. Our business operates through offices across Australia and New Zealand and is a full cycle underwriting agency supporting all stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong, compliant relationships with business partners and intermediaries. Identify and grow distribution channels aligned with NM Insurance’s strategic objectives. Monitor performance against budget and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Deliver partner education and ensure adherence to compliance frameworks. Support internal initiatives through coaching, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Contribute to the development of a high-performance culture across the distribution function. Communicate market intelligence and partner feedback to inform strategic decisions. Ensure business partner activities align with regulatory requirements and company standards. Job Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or relationship management, preferably within insurance or financial services. Proven track record in managing intermediary networks and delivering commercial growth. Strong understanding of insurance risk principles, compliance frameworks, and distribution models. Demonstrated ability to support partner education, monitor performance, and contribute to strategic initiatives. Technical Competencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/reporting platforms. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify trends. Experience preparing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders. Familiarity with compliance monitoring, breach reporting, and training delivery.
