Senior Manager Risk Culture and Capability Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, you’ll play a key role in shaping and driving a robust risk framework that supports sustainable growth and smart decision making across our group. This is more than just a BAU role, you’ll be influencing executives, preparing board level insights, monitoring emerging risks, and helping foster a proactive, positive risk culture across the organisation. Position Accountabilities In this pivotal leadership role, you will: Own and enhance our Risk Management Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement, ensuring they stay relevant, practical and embedded across the business. Be the go to for strategic and emerging risk oversight, using tools like horizon scanning to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. Drive insightful, forward‑looking risk reporting to the Senior Executive Team and Board Risk Committee. Manage key regulatory responsibilities, including the Risk Management Declaration. Collaborate across the business to build consistent risk capability, influence decision making, and champion the A&G risk mindset. Design and deliver engaging training and awareness programs that bring risk concepts to life. Measure and report on risk culture initiatives, helping us make risk everyone’s business. What experience you’ll bring A sharp strategic mind, with 7+ years of enterprise risk experience in financial services. A relevant tertiary qualification (risk, finance, law, or similar). Confidence navigating APRA requirements, particularly CPS 220. Experience working in or alongside the insurance sector is highly regarded. Proven ability to build credibility and influence at the senior executive and board level. A knack for distilling complex risks into clear, actionable insights. Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, solution‑oriented style that reflects the A&G Way.
