Philanthropy Engagement Manager The Hospital Research Foundation Group is a leading charitable foundation with a vision for a healthier community and wellbeing for all. Our purpose is to fund life‑changing medical research that helps find cures and improve care for all Australians. We’re looking for an energetic, purpose‑driven individual to join our growing team, who will excel at maximising support for our Group through acquiring and growing our major donor supporter base. You will work closely with our Head of Philanthropy and our Senior Executive team to deliver and evolve our organisational fundraising strategy, identifying opportunities to grow revenue through relationship‑focused fundraising with high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and foundations. Responsibilities Deliver and evolve the organisational fundraising strategy. Identify and nurture relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and foundations. Manage the major donor portfolio, ensuring high‑level engagement and commitment. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in supporter engagement within fundraising or in a relationship‑based sales/customer‑service role outside of fundraising. Experience with major gift solicitation is highly regarded. Current knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in Australia and deep networks within South Australia. Understanding of bequest and major donor identity profiles to support prospect research and qualification. Curiosity about people and their motivations, strong interpersonal skills, high self‑motivation and confidence. Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a passionate, multi‑skilled team.
