Senior Insolvency Accountant Perth CBD About the Opportunity : Are you a seasoned Insolvency Accountant seeking a senior role where you can leverage your expertise and mentor others? This is a significant opportunity within their established Perth office to take a leading role in managing complex insolvency engagements. You will work closely with Registered Liquidators and Bankruptcy Trustees, contributing significantly to case strategy and execution across diverse industries. Your Role & Responsibilities : As a Senior Insolvency Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of challenging insolvency files and play a key role in guiding junior team members. Your responsibilities will include : Managing complex corporate and personal insolvency administrations (Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations, Receiverships, Bankruptcies) with increased autonomy. Designing and implementing appropriate strategies and controls for client engagements. Overseeing the preparation and analysis of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports. Preparing and reviewing detailed reports for key stakeholders, including creditors, lenders, and regulatory bodies. Leading investigations into debtors' affairs, analysing complex information, formulating recommendations, and ensuring statutory compliance. Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing their work, and assisting in their professional development. Maintaining high-quality, compliant working papers and case files. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders. Actively contributing to business development activities and promoting the firm's restructuring services. What You'll Bring (Skills & Experience) : We are seeking a highly competent, proactive, and detail-oriented professional ready to step into a senior capacity. Experience : Minimum 2-3+ years of relevant experience in corporate and / or personal insolvency within a professional practice environment. Qualifications : A relevant tertiary degree (e.g., Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Law). Certification : CA or CPA qualification (or working towards) is essential. Technical Expertise : Strong technical insolvency knowledge and application skills. Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder interactions. Leadership Potential : Demonstrated ability or aptitude for supervising and mentoring junior team members. Analytical Skills : Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail. Independence & Teamwork : Proven ability to manage assignments independently while contributing effectively to team goals.
