EL1 Enterprise Architect, Data Standards Body at Commonwealth Treasury This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Data Standards Body (DSB) and across government to deliver high quality regulatory standards. The DSB supports the Data Standards Chair, who is responsible for creating standards required for the effective operation of Australia’s Digital ID System and the Consumer Data Right (CDR) regulatory frameworks. The role works across Treasury’s Digital, Competition and Payments Division in Markets Group. Key Responsibilities Lead architecture and solution design to critically evaluate standards issues and changes, including API design, identity federation architecture, identity proofing, cybersecurity protocols, data portability initiatives, integration, scalability, performance, and availability. Create multi‑year technology and business architecture roadmaps aligned with organisational strategy. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, ensuring the enterprise is prepared for future opportunities and challenges. Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and engineering teams to integrate solution designs with enterprise architecture. Evaluate proposed technology solutions for compliance, feasibility, scalability, cost‑effectiveness, and risk mitigation. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on technology investments, modernization initiatives, and portfolio decisions. Translate complex business, user, and operational requirements into practical, secure technical solution designs suitable for a regulatory environment. Identify opportunities for improvement to current CDR and Digital ID Data Standards and align with relevant international standards. Assist with development and documentation of current system processes and future improvements. Ensure all solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles, patterns, and standards, and comply with legal and policy positions. Guide engineering and delivery teams to implement solutions in line with approved architectures. Provide input to consultation and delivery processes for making Data Standards instruments. Collaborate across DSB, other agencies, and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes and relationships. Lead inter‑agency discussions with engineers, architects, and policy teams through problem exploration and solution design. Desirable Qualifications / Experience Ability to quickly understand the policy and data standards landscape for Digital ID and/or the CDR. Collaborative engagement to develop technical requirements or standards and conduct change impact assessments balanced with government policy objectives. Strong written and oral communication skills, including leading technical analysis and discussion across stakeholders. Experience maintaining requirements libraries and reference architectures. Qualifications in IT, engineering, cyber security, data or information management or another relevant field. Knowledge or experience in architecture and design (TOGA), cloud platforms, data and security standards (ISO/IEC‑27001, CISSP, CDM), API and data exchange (OpenAPI, JSON Schema), identity and trust services (FIDO, OIDC/OAuth2, SAML, CIAM). #J-18808-Ljbffr
