The AUB Group is an ASX 200 company, and the largest equity-based insurance broker across Australia and New Zealand. We have also recently acquired Tysers in the UK as we expand internationally. We hold 100+ direct investments into broking, underwriting agency, and health and rehabilitation businesses, with a further 100+ businesses held by our subsidiaries. The Group operates within the insurance intermediary sector, providing insurance broking, underwriting agency, post claim rehabilitation, investigation, and loss adjusting to small and medium enterprise businesses. We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our busy team on a hybrid basis in North Sydney. This is a dynamic role requiring a broad skillset, extensive technical ability and will suit a high performer. The role will see you involved in the following activities: Consolidation of Group results including all disclosures applicable to ASX listed companies. Impact analysis of new accounting standards on the Group, creation of transition work programs and presentation to partner businesses of requirements. Analysing and accounting for ad hoc arrangements and deals. Valuation and modelling for statutory impairment testing. Preparation and review of Board reports. Supporting ad hoc projects including finance transformation implementation. Managing the relationship with external auditors and the annual audit program. Ideally, we would be looking for someone who has exposure to the following: CA Qualified with 10+ years’ experience including Big 4/chartered and relevant commercial experience in the financial services industry. Strong technical accounting knowledge - Australian Accounting Standards/IFRS and particularly mergers and acquisitions. Experience with Sun systems, Adaptative Insights and Tagetik is a distinct advantage but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a variety of audiences. Superior analytical and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is a Senior Manager in a similar organisation having previously worked in a Big 4 and should have extensive consolidation experience in a global Group and have been involved in accounting for a number of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
