A great opportunity now exists for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to lead and drive Council's Organisational Planning and Strategy team in this vibrant, positive, and progressive organisation as the Manager Organisational Planning and Strategy. Reporting into the Executive Director Strategy and Corporate Services, this newly created and unique position will drive cross functional collaboration across the organisation to drive, corporate planning, service planning, strategic asset management and property, and enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring the effective alignment of our people, assets, and services with community needs and Council's long‑term vision. The Successful Candidate will: Corporate and Strategic Planning – Overseeing the development, integration, and monitoring of Council's corporate and community plans, ensuring clear alignment with legislative requirements and community outcomes. Service Planning and Performance – Guiding service reviews, improvement initiatives, and performance frameworks to enhance organisational efficiency and value to the community. Strategic Asset Management – Providing leadership in the strategic management of Council's asset portfolio, ensuring sustainable investment, renewal, and optimisation. Property Management – Overseeing property strategy, acquisition, disposal, and utilisation to support Council's long‑term objectives. About You You are a collaborative and strategic leader with strong analytical and communication skills. You thrive in complex environments and have the ability to balance operational priorities with long‑term strategic outcomes. A local government background is preferred, ideally with planning, corporate strategy or Strategic Asset management experience. Key skills and attributes include: Demonstrated experience in strategic and corporate planning, and/or service planning. Strong understanding of asset management and property strategy within a public or complex organisational setting. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in business, planning, public administration, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
