Health Information Services Manager Location: Newcastle, NSW, Australia Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Position Overview: We are seeking a Health Information Manager to join our Health Information team at Calvary Mater Newcastle. Salary Classification: Health Services Manager – Level 3. Remuneration: $66.69 to $76.76 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options. Responsibilities Provide strategic advice and leadership in the provision of Health Information Services to ensure orderly and secure storage of patient information. Access patient information for continuity of care and manage release of information within statutory guidelines. Provide management support for Activity Based Management (ABM) and lead the Clinical Coding Unit and Clinical Information Department. Responsible for providing strategic oversight to the patient services administration streams. Qualifications Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience. Sound knowledge and experience in evaluating and establishing standards of Health Record Services and experience working in a health information setting in a Hospital. Demonstrated experience applying data collection rules for admitted and non‑admitted patient data and providing advice and analysis reports in an ABM model. Demonstrated experience leading, developing and managing multiple teams. Experience working with privacy legislation, release of information legislation/policies. Benefits On‑site parking.
