Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub‑acute, mental health, specialist, community and home‑based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg. About the Role: The HIM/Clinical coder is responsible for the clinical coding and casemix processes of Northern Health admitted episodes. To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor of Health Information Management (Health Information Manager) or successful completion of a recognised Australian coding course Proven current or previous experience in a Health Information Manager/Clinical coding role is essential across a variety of casemix A minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical coding at a tertiary level Literacy in IT systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Next Steps . .
