Farsi speaking Volunteer Visitor for lovely elderly lady (Roxburgh Park) We have a lovely elderly lady who would really benefit from fortnightly visits from a volunteer visitor in their community. She speaks Farsi and also Armenian however very limited English. Go for short walks together and chat about your history and family. Do you enjoy spending time with older people and learning about their life? Visit once per fortnight for chat and catch up. Volunteer visits are usually for an hour and are flexible to work around your schedule. About you We are looking for caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people. Our Volunteer Coordinators will spend time with you to understand your interests and background, and work to match you with a client in a suburb nearby who shares similar interests. Your impact: Volunteering as a visitor is a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits on a fortnightly basis for a minimum of 6 months are required. Visits from volunteers help improve the quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy and happiness to the recipient you are matched with.
