Coffee, Puzzles & a Friendly Pup - Be a Companion to a Lovely Lady, Bossley Park In a quiet home in Bossley Park, a gentle elderly lady is waiting for a kind, reliable volunteer who can offer more than just their time. They bring warmth, conversation, and a little light into her day. She finds joy in the little things: diamond dot art, puzzles, a stroll through the shops, a warm cup of coffee, and the loyal company of a sweet, friendly dog. What she misses most is simple connection – someone to talk to, laugh with, and share a moment of genuine companionship. Even a short visit once a week or fortnight could mean the world to her. Your presence and kindness could turn an ordinary day into something truly meaningful. To her, you would not be just a visitor – you’d be a friend. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. HammondCare is an independent Christian charity passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. Category : Seniors & Aged Care Commitment : Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work : Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required : We’d be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one‑hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm. Thursdays or weekends, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability. Training : Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator. We offer an extensive online and face‑to‑face training program so you will be well equipped as a volunteer. Optional – First Aid course.
