In this role, you will work closely with the school’s Wellbeing Team to support vulnerable students in staying connected with their education, families, and wider community. As part of a collaborative initiative between CatholicCare Social Services Hunter‑Manning and the Catholic Schools Office, you will provide targeted outreach, case management, and home visit support to students and families, helping strengthen their engagement with school and local services. This role extends the care and support of Catholic schools beyond the classroom, fostering positive relationships and improved wellbeing for young people. Some after‑hours work and collaboration with interagency networks will be required to ensure holistic and responsive support. Position Description The Catholic Schools Office and CatholicCare Social Services Hunter‑Manning have formed a collaborative partnership to enhance the wellbeing of students and their families attending specific high schools and feeder primary schools. The Beyond the Gates worker will be an employee of CatholicCare Social Services Hunter‑Manning (Clinical Services Team) but will be based at the nominated school in the Wellbeing Team. The purpose of this position is to support and encourage vulnerable students to remain linked with the schools and the wider communities. The role will involve community outreach and home visiting while working alongside families to enhance their engagement in services. The role will enhance the link between the schools and students.
