ABOUT THE HOST EMPLOYER Our host employer is a leading commercial shopfitting company with over 40 years of experience delivering high‑quality retail, hospitality, and office fit‑outs across Sydney and Australia. Their modern Orchard Hills facility produces fully certified, Australian‑made joinery and fit‑out components using advanced equipment and skilled tradespeople. They specialise in complete fit‑out solutions — from design and custom joinery to installation — with a strong focus on quality, precision, and client satisfaction. ABOUT THE ROLE This is an exciting opportunity to begin a 4-year Shopfitting Apprenticeship (Certificate III in Shopfitting – CPC30116) with full‑time paid work and practical on‑the‑job training. As an apprentice, you will learn how to build, install, and finish custom timber fixtures, fittings, and joinery used in retail stores, cafés, restaurants, offices, and commercial spaces. You’ll assist in the workshop and on job sites, gaining practical skills in cabinetry, construction, installation, problem‑solving, and working with tools and machinery. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting with the construction and assembly of custom joinery and fixtures Installing cabinetry, counters, shelving, walls, partitions, and displays Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and measurements Operating hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery Working both in the workshop and on active commercial job sites Supporting the team with fit‑out preparation, deliveries, and installation tasks Following WHS procedures and safe work practices Maintaining a clean and organised workspace Completing Certificate III coursework (with full NTHA support) WHY JOIN US?
