Service Manager – Medical & Interventional Services, JHH – Targeted Employment type: Temporary Full Time until June 2026 | Location: John Hunter Hospital | Awabakal Land This position is open to all individuals, but is targeted to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people under section 21 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of medical and interventional specialties. Champion excellence across all disciplines, ensuring continual improvement in clinical practice, service delivery, safety, and patient outcomes. Lead the vision, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of M&IS to ensure efficient, effective and timely delivery of high‑quality health care services. Drive strategic planning, service development and performance improvement initiatives. Ensure consistent, high‑quality care is delivered to every patient, every time. Foster collaboration across a complex range of professional groups and organisational partners. Oversee operational performance, workforce planning and resource management. Lead a culture of safety, innovation and continual improvement. Work closely with the M&IS Leadership Team and the John Hunter Hospital Executive to achieve organisational goals.
