We provide advice, court representation, and family dispute resolution through 28 offices and phone-based support, helping people navigate the legal system with confidence and fairness. About The Role As a Communications Officer, you’ll be an essential part of our Communications Unit, helping us deliver clear, engaging, and timely information to support the work of Legal Aid NSW. This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. Responsibilities Provide administrative and coordination support to keep projects and deadlines on track in a fast-paced environment. Manage the team’s shared inbox and content calendar, ensuring requests are prioritised and delivered on time. Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather contributions and maintain strong working relationships. Create, review, and publish content for newsletters, social media, digital platforms, and major publications. Assist in executing communications plans that promote the important work we do for the community. About You You are an organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have strong written communication skills and the ability to ensure content is accurate, clear, and consistent across multiple channels. You are confident using digital tools to manage calendars, inboxes, and publishing systems, and you work collaboratively with stakeholders to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality outcomes. Essential Requirements for this Role Be willing to do a Criminal Record Check Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies) Qualifications and/or experience in a relevant field, such as communications and content creation.
